10k Training Plan
It's a new year, so this seems like a good time to create new running goals and dust off my runners and this blog. I was thinking about my running history and the races that I've completed. I've run a couple of 5k races, a half marathon, a 25k trail race, and two marathons. One distance that I've never raced is a 10k. This just happens to be the favourite distance of my good running friend. Now that I've had a long enough break from running (much needed after the marathon), I thought that the challenge of a 10k race would be a nice way to get back into the swing of things. MEC offers really reasonably priced races and even has a series that you can do- so I didn't just sign up for one 10k race, but five 10 k races! It will be interesting to track my progress- and given my track record of getting sick, I won't be under too much pressure if I have to miss a race, knowing there are others.
